The Freewheel Cycling Pub
The Freewheel is not just an inviting pit stop for cyclists, walkers and locals to re-fuel, but also has a fully-equipped workshop attached for both running repairs and scheduled servicing for all types of bicycle.
Situated just two minutes from National Cycle Route 1 which runs from Dover, throughout Kent and then north to Shetland it is the perfect place for people to either stop off en route or indeed start a day’s riding or walking from. The first of it’s kind in Kent, The Freewheel will be offering both locally sourced food and drink and onsite expertise in bicycle repairs and maintenance.
New developments are happening weekly at the Freewheel and owner Adrian Oliver has announced that he hopes to be running a cycling hire shop in time for the Summer holidays.
Free Adult Cycle Training- The Freewheel Pub and Cycling Cafe hold regular Sunday morning Cycle Confidence Training Sessions. The aim of each session is to give cyclists the skills, knowledge and techniques to ride assertively on today's roads. The training is free and runs from 10am- 12pm, please book in advance as the session can only run if at least four people attend. Tel 01795 538143
Regular Ride outs- Every Sunday morning at 9am there is a Relaxed Roadie Ride from The Freewheel. it's a great opportunity to enjoy your road bike on the local country lanes. The ride will be a circular route of about 30 miles and is adapted to suit every ability. No need to book, just arrive at The Freewheel by 9am
