Queenborough Classic Boat Festival and Open Day

08 Sep 2017 - 10 Sep 2017

Queenborough Classic Boat Festival & Open Day

8th to 10th September 2017

HW Sheerness approx. 2pm

Following the success of our 1st Classic boat festival held last year, Queenborough Harbour Trust CIC are pleased to announce their second Classic boat event. This year it is being held a month earlier in September, so we hope for kinder weather and even more boats.

Qualifying Boats

The festival is open to any boat built or designed before 1970 - wood, steel, aluminium, fibreglass, ferro cement, sail, power, steam or other, the bigger the variety of boats on show the better. If in doubt as to whether your boat qualifies please send a photo and a short description.

Without classic boats, we will not have an event so we are delighted to offer free berthing for up to 3 nights for qualifying vessels that register with us before 31st August 2017. Registration is on a first come first served basis and we plan to accommodate around 30 boats.

To register your Classic Boat please:

 email admin@queenborough-harbour.co.uk or call 01795 662051

Our trot boat will be in operation throughout the festival.

Visitors

The harbour will be open to the public to view the boats and meet the skippers. In addition, we plan to run passenger trips around the harbour to visit classic boats on the swinging moorings. Further details to follow.

Opening Times

Friday 8th – Classic Boats arrive in harbour

Sat 9th – Festival open 10am to 5pm

Sun 10th – Festival open 10am to 1pm

We hope you can join us in making this 2nd festival even better than last year and a regular feature in the boating calendar.
