A New Day Festival returns for its 6th year to the beautiful surrounds of Mt Ephraim, with over 2,000 music fans flocking from all over the world to enjoy the UK’s most picturesque festival setting within the 10 acres of ornamental gardens.
The renowned “small festival with big names” has pulled off a major scoop this year by acquiring the legendary rock band Jethro Tull as headliners; With album sales to date of well over 60 million, Tull have recently achieved further worldwide success with their first album in almost 20 years, hitting the Top 10 in both the UK and USA as well as many European countries, and this could be their only UK concert this year, and is their first in Kent for decades.
Alongside Jethro Tull are many more huge names to enjoy – Ten Years After, The Stranglers former frontman Hugh Cornwell, Colosseum, Dutch rockers Focus, 70’s glam kings The Sweet, Atomic Rooster, Edgar Broughton and more.
A New Day is, of course, so much more than just a music festival. Over the six years it has been widely lauded for the excellent quality of the many and varied food stalls and particularly for the huge selection of award-winning ales, lagers and ciders on offer. Craft, music, clothing, book and jewellery stalls are added attractions, along with Mt Ephraim’s own tea room overlooking the Topiary Garden.
Camping is available, and for those requiring a bit more luxury, Glamping (luxury camping) is also on offer. Parking is free.
