Chase The Sun UK South Cycle Ride

18th June 2022

The goal of riding a bike from sunrise to sunset across England on the longest day!

Swale residents and visitors will have the opportunity of seeing the sun come up on Minster Leas on the Isle of Sheppey and witness the start of the 'Chase the Sun' cycle ride.

Starting in the Thames estuary, the 200+ mile route bi-sects south London, bridging the Thames onto Wiggin’s Olympic time trial route, before seeking green country lanes, quaint villages, the lush Vale of Pewsey, climbing the Mendip hills, descending breathtaking Cheddar gorge, finally arriving on the seafront finish at Burnham-on-Sea.

04:41 START 3000m ELEVATION 21:33 FINISH 205 MILES

Chase the Sun is a non-competitive ride, open to all — with no rules, route-signs, timing or medals. It is an annual physical, motivational and navigational challenge, with the goal of riding your bike from sunrise to sunset on the longest day!
