This is potato printing for grown-ups! Using the beautiful surroundings of Belmont House and Gardens as inspiration, in this workshop you will learn how to carve a linocut tile to produce a repeat pattern or a one-off print onto paper, fabric and greeting cards. You will be able to experiment with overlays in different colours and at the end of the workshop take your stamps home to use again and again.
You will work on postcard size lino tiles (approx. 15cm x 10cm or 6” x 4”) so should be able to produce 2 or 3 different designs in the time allowed.
Please bring an apron or painting shirt and a sketch book and pencils. You are also welcome to bring ideas with you in the form of photos, magazines, drawings, books, wallpaper, fabric swatches etc. This workshop is popular with card makers and quilters who are looking to create and add unique designs to their work. Suitable for beginners or as a refresher course.
£25.00 includes all materials, printing equipment and refreshments.
An experienced printer, Rachel will take you step by step from your initial design to that final professional looking print.
