A week of many & varied events celebrating "Sheerness" as a Seaside and ex Naval Dockyard Town.
The week will culminate in a Carnival Parade through the town with a Funfair and free Firework Display

Sunset Seaside Stroll, for Cancer Research UK - 13th August Minster Leas Seafront to Queenborough. Will leave the Leas at 8pm 20 minutes before sunset, giving you beautiful views across the estuary as the sun sets. Advance registration encouraged.

Queen and King of the Sea Pageant - Sunday 14th August at the Oasis Academy Theatre, Sheerness. Who will be the first Queens and Kings of the Sea?  5pm start.

Fun Face Board Festival - The Fun-Face Selfie Photo board Event, to be held on Monday 15th August 2022 10am-4pm at Beachfields Gardens Sheerness-on-sea (betwixt the swimming pool and sports centre). A retro event for the modern 'selfie' age. Come along and take your silly snaps putting your face into 20+ newly created Beachfront photo boards

Pirate and Mermaid Picnic at The Criterion - 18th August 1.30pm - Calling all Pirates & Mermaids, put on your best outfits for a picnic at the Criterion. Goody Bag included.

Sheerness “Festival of the Sea” Music & Craft Fair - 19th August 9am - 5pm on the Broadway Sheerness.

A dual event in the Broadway, Sheerness. At one end a craft fair showcasing as many local traders as possible selling home-made goods. Whilst at the other end of the Broadway we will have a stage area providing live music & entertainment.

Sheerness “Festival of the Sea” Food & Drink Fair - 20th August 2pm - 8pm on the Broadway Sheerness

The provision of a variety of food & drink stalls. Mainly to provide the opportunity for members of the public to try new things and provide the opportunity for local businesses to showcase their wares. It is also to provide somewhere for families to get some refreshments in-between the end of the Carnival parade and the start of the firework display in the evening.

Sheerness “Festival of the Sea” Carnival Parade - Assembly 3.30pm - Finish Time 7pm

A parade comprising on Floats, Trailers & Walking Participants through the streets of Sheerness.
To celebrate all the best that Sheerness has to offer. It will be the final event of a weeklong “Festival of the Sea” that the Sheerness Town Team are organising.
