Swale Community Leisure Vision Awards - Have you nominated yet?
The Swale Community Leisure (SCL) Vision Awards are open and you can nominate your friend, family, club coach, volunteer or co-worker to recognise their contribution towards helping provide opportunities for residents to get active and improve their physical and mental health.
SCL manage the leisure centres in Sittingbourne and Sheerness as well as engaging with the wider community outside of the facilities, and since 2018 they have been running the Vision Awards to celebrate the contribution of staff and partners towards their aims and objectives. The Vision Awards raise awareness to celebrate clubs, organisations and individuals contribution to their communities across Swale Community Leisure's five key themes -
Sadly due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and current Government guidelines SCL are unable to host the celebration dinner this year but are keen to continue showing their appreciation by running the awards virtually. To recognise and reward the deserving nominees they will be showcasing their work via social media in December.
If you know an individual, club or group who you believe are deserving of a virtual Vision Award this year, please nominate them using the form on the SCL Virtual Vision Awards webpage. They may have offered outstanding contributions across Sport, Leisure, Health, Education and Culture during the COVID-19 pandemic; through volunteering, raising community spirits, fundraising efforts or innovative ideas which have made an impact in their local area
Nominations will be open until November and the showcase will take place early December, so why not nominate your choice today?
