Woodland Club - Shelter Quest & Woodland Discovery

13th June 2025

Step into the beautiful surroundings of Jays Wood, (Boughton-under-Blean), this summer and reconnect with nature through a hands-on, confidence-building series of four relaxed and welcoming woodland sessions.

Designed to bring people of all ages together, these Friday evenings offer the perfect opportunity to explore a variety of outdoor skills, nature-based crafts, and group activities that deepen your connection with the woodland—and with each other. Whether you’re new to bushcraft, love spending time outdoors, or simply want to slow down and enjoy the calming rhythm of the forest, each session invites you to build real woodland skills, meet new people, and embrace creativity in a supportive and fun environment.

No previous experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to get stuck in! About this event We’ll wrap up the season with a warm, celebratory evening around the fire. This session is all about gathering together, learning fire-lighting techniques, and enjoying some tasty campfire treats as we reflect on everything we’ve experienced.

There’ll be games, laughter, and plenty of moments to relax and connect. Whether you’ve joined us for one session or all four, this is the perfect way to close the summer with full hearts and muddy boots. About your hosts Step into the woods for an evening of adventure and exploration!

In this first session, we’ll get to know the woodland and each other while learning essential shelter-building skills. You’ll discover how to construct natural shelters and how to set up tarps and hammocks—key techniques for staying comfortable and protected outdoors.

Alongside exciting team challenges and uncovering hidden corners of the forest, this session focuses on teamwork, creativity, and discovery, setting the perfect tone for a season of woodland confidence and fun.
