Faversham is buzzing with excitement as the long awaiting Faversham Monopoly board game has arrived, almost a month earlier than expected, and the games will begin being going off to their new homes this weekend.
Since launching the Faversham Monopoly on-line shop this summer, pre-orders for the local game have gone through the roof. With a limited edition run of only 2,500 board games, 2,000 have already been snapped up. The team behind the Faversham version of this well-known game are urging anyone interested to place their orders as soon as possible to guarantee receiving a copy.
Liz Jeffery, from Shore Way Marketing who masterminded the Faversham Monopoly game, says: “We have been overwhelmed by interest in Faversham Monopoly, not only from businesses and community groups who have embraced the initiative, but also from members of the public who love the idea of a Faversham version of the Monopoly game. We’ve had orders on behalf of people from all over the world including Ireland, Canada and America, many of whom are people with connections to Faversham and are keen to own a part of Faversham’s history.”

“I would urge anyone who is interested in owning a copy of Faversham Monopoly to reserve their games now, as we will only be producing 2,500 copies, priority will be given to those that have pre ordered as stocks run low.”
Those who have pre ordered have a choice of collection or delivery at the point of ordering. You can collect from our stall at The Best of Faversham Market Stall this Saturday (7th Oct), further dates and collection points will be announced via email shortly. For those that have opted for delivery will start to receive their games from next week.
Liz is keen to re-assure everyone who has supported this project by pre-ordering will get their games promptly, to ensure that everyone has time to get a few practice games in before Christmas.
Faversham Monopoly, is being produced under licence to Hasbro. The game has been entirely funded and created by the Faversham community and will provide a snapshot of life in Faversham in 2023, to be treasured by Faversham’s residents, past and present, for generations.
£5 from every game sold will be donated to Faversham charities and community groups.
