Faversham Miniature Railway, is a truly unique experience as it is the only 9″ Gauge Railway in the UK open to the public.

Normally open every Sunday from March until the end of October, they offer a unique and relaxing way to see the Orchards at Brogdale Farm throughout the seasons.

The society was formed shortly after the railway begun its life at Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey. When the railway moved to Norton Ash, the society begun to expand with new members joining from the neighbouring areas. However, it wasn’t until the railway moved to Brogdale Farm that the team begun to expand to the levels it stands today.

The society currently consists of around 20 members, all of whom are active volunteers at Faversham Miniature Railway. They are always looking for more volunteers who would like to get involved. Whether you wish to be a driver, guard, signalman or just help with the maintenance, you will always be greeted by a fun and friendly group of volunteers who just wish to share their experience, time and their railway.
