You’ll begin the workshop in The Orangery, where your tutor, Rachel, will introduce you to the linocut process with a demonstration.
Our Head Gardener will then talk through the foliage and flora she’s carefully selected for the workshop. Guiding you through basic design principles, Rachel will help you turn your sketches into a final composition. Whether you craft your own unique design or opt for one of our pre-made templates, you’ll learn transfer techniques, understand image reversal, get hands-on carving your tile, and conclude by inking and hand-printing your linocut.
