Getting fit

If improving your physical fitness is your goal, then there’s a great selection of  gyms and fitness centres in Faversham which might be just what you need.  Check out Quayside Crossfit located down at the lovely Standard Quay alternatively try Faversham Activity Centre on the Jubilee Way Estate which has a well-equipped gym (it isn’t just a ball pool for the kids!).

Syndale Park is a very popular gym with people of all abilities and ages. They have personal trainers who can work with you ono a personal training programme. Don’t forget West Faversham Community Centre which has a modern gym and many other facilities including an outdoor climbing wall!

Keeping bendy and supple!

It is well known that some of the best activities for keeping strong and healthy in old age are pilates and yoga and Faversham has a great selection of classes for practitioners of all abilities.

The Alexander Centre in Preston Street hosts a number of classes in their beautifully refurbished Georgian rooms.  It’s easily accessible too with parking in the nearby Central Car Park.    There is also a fabulous yoga space at Standard Quay called Actively Alive who offer classes at all levels from complete beginner to intermediate plus.
