One of Faversham’s most popular food destinations is back for another season. The much-loved Food Village at Macknade will reopen on Friday 3 April 2026, bringing together a vibrant mix of street food traders, returning favourites, live music and a welcoming social space to eat, drink and relax.

A staple of the local food scene, the Food Village has become a go-to destination for visitors looking to sample bold street food, locally produced drinks and enjoy live entertainment in a relaxed community setting. For 2026, Macknade has also expanded the opening hours, giving visitors even more opportunities to experience everything the Food Village has to offer.

A Fresh Look for 2026

One of the most exciting additions this year is the newly refurbished Hop Shed Bar & Eatery. With a rustic, rural atmosphere, the Hop Shed will serve hearty yet health-conscious bites alongside locally produced drinks. The space will also act as a social hub for live music and gatherings, making it the perfect place to enjoy a drink and light bite with friends.

Visitors can also enjoy a variety of new food traders bringing fresh flavours to the Food Village:

  • Mac & Stacks – A dream for comfort food lovers, serving indulgent mac and cheese and thick loaded cheese toasties, all built around a signature four-cheese base with a choice of toppings.

  • Bears Ice Cream Scooptopia – From the award-winning team behind the Bears Ice Cream Imaginarium, Scooptopia brings imaginative flavours and playful toppings using high-quality seasonal ingredients and Kentish milk. Expect everything from popcorn to popping candy alongside both dairy and plant-based options.

Returning Favourites

Alongside the new additions, several well-known Food Village traders will be returning for another year of crowd-pleasing street food:

  • Little Katsu Kitchen – Popular for its bold, Asian-inspired street food dishes.

  • Notorious BRG – Serving premium burgers, loaded fries and house-made sauces with creative flavour combinations.

  • Sig Pizza – Bringing classic wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas with perfectly blistered crusts and high-quality toppings.

Launch Party – Friday 3 April

To celebrate the reopening, Macknade will host a Food Village Launch Party on Friday 3 April. Visitors will be able to explore the new lineup of traders and the refreshed Hop Shed Bar & Eatery while enjoying live music from band Whiskey and Wine.

With great food, drinks and entertainment, the launch event promises a lively start to the Food Village season.

Opening Hours

For 2026, the Food Village will open:

  • Thursday – Sunday: 10am – 4pm

  • First Friday of every month: 10am – 10pm (with live music)

The extended evening openings will provide even more opportunities to enjoy the Food Village atmosphere throughout the season.
