Did you know? Monks Granary at Standard Quay, Faversham is the oldest warehouse still in use in this country. It was built in the 17th century and has been in use ever since.
Monks Granary is Grade II listed and features beautiful architectural and historical details. There is evidence that materials from Faversham Abbey (in particular is refectory) we’re used in its construction.
Next time you’re passing take a closer look at some of its unique features, from wattle and daub to dressed stone and timber in the rafters.
