Background to Netball...

Netball is a team sport prodominantly played by females, although males are ok to play in some versions and or non-competitive matches. In a regular match there are two teams playing against each other with seven positions to be filled, alternative versions can be played if there isn't enough players but league matches will need there to be seven players.

The National Governing Body that supports the sport is England Netball and they have a website with information covering all aspects from local clubs to the England International team, made from English players and competing against other nations in friendlies and competitions across the World.

Recent highlights have been the England National Team winning Gold in the 2018 Commonwealth Games and finishing third in the 2019 World Cup. Internationaly the sport is governed by the International Netball Federation.

COVID-19

All activities offered by clubs overseen by a National Governing Body will be required to adhere to new procedures to protect participants. England Netball is working with Sport England to support providers to get back to activities.
