Opportunities in Swale...

There are a number of clubs and organisations providing opportunities in Swale -

Remember to contact the club/organisation before you attend to ask any questions you have on their activities.

Background to Sailing...

All forms of Sailing will require a boat, vessle or craft that will catch the wind in a sail to propel it across a stretch or body of water. Sailing has been a mode of transport for centuries and to this day, helping humans to access lands all over the world.

As a modern day sport that appears in the Olympic and Paralympic games there are numerous classes, sizes of craft, that people can compete in, normally on your own but also in pairs and teams depending on the size of the craft.

As well as the sport element Sailing has developed as a popular leisure activity with people enjoying the activity with friends and family all over the world on rivers and the sea.

COVID-19

All activities offered by clubs overseen by a National Governing Body will be required to adhere to new procedures to protect participants. The Royal Yachting Association is working with Sport England to support providers to get back to activities.
