The best time to visit and make the most of all three of Faversham’s regular markets is Triple Market Weekend, which usually takes place on the first weekend of the month.

‘Hulked’ is a brand new soundwalk experience along the Medway coastline and around the Old Brickfields at Lower Halstow, near Sittingbourne. The soundwalk reanimates the wrecks of the Thames Sailing barges, breathes new life into the old brickfields and celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the area.

Milton Creek Country Park are proud to announce they have won Silver at this year’s Wilder Kent Awards for their hard work in helping to create a Wilder Kent.

Elmley National Nature Reserve on the Isle of Sheppey, in North Kent, is delighted to have received a £206,557 grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund for its community-focused Nature Programme. Made possible by National Lottery players, the project aims to improve, and support access and engagement with local residents of Swale, which includes the Isle of Sheppey and the town of Sittingbourne.

Open all year round for school and youth group activities, including overnight camps. During school holidays we generally run adventure days Mondays to Wednesdays (except when we have pre arranged youth group bookings) for parents to drop off their children for a day of outdoor learning and adventure, then on Thursday, Friday and some weekends and evenings we run hourly family/ small group activities, for a set hourly price you can have up to ten participants taking part in activities such as archery, axe throwing, climbing wall, high ropes, Zipline or any other pre arranged activities that we offer. Our staff are DBS checked and trained/ qualified to run the various activities that we offer to give you a great outdoor experience.

Coasts in Mind will be recording coastal change over the last hundred years through oral history, foreshore archaeology, and historic images and is now live in the Swale Estuary.
