Old Forge Wartime House

We are opening on Saturday 1st August and we will be open every Saturday through out August and Possibly in September too. We will open with a new booking system so as family and permitted groups do not over lap and there will be a one way system. All other guidelines are in place and we feel confident we can open safely.

Our new booking office number is 07561647827 and is open 10 - 5 Monday to Saturday for bookings and enquires.

We will also be opening a gift shop and for the present the tea room will be take away.

Step back in time and experience life on the Home Front during World War 2, see how families lived and worked throughout the war years. Meet the ARP Warden, Ministry of Food and Ladies from the WI. Learn about rationing, evacuation and experience sitting in an Anderson Shelter with bombs falling. See the house come alive as experienced re-enactors take you back to how life was during World War 2.

Schools catered for with the addition of workshops from £5 per child (adults free).
