Triple Market Weekend 

On the first weekend of the month, Faversham town centre is home to three different markets - Faversham Charter Market and Best of Faversham Market on Saturday and Faversham Antiques Market on Sunday. The perfect weekend to visit Faversham.

 Alexander Centre, Preston Street 

Beautiful Victorian venue hosting regular events including live music, comedy and theatrical performances for all ages. An artisan craft market is held here on the first and third Saturday of the month.

 Faversham Literary Festival 

16-25 February

A programme of literary events including talks, presentations and readings by high-profile, leading authors, poets  and writers.

Spring Fair – new for 2024

Blossom at Brogdale 

Brogdale Collections at Brogdale Farm 

Teddy Bears’ Blossom Picnic on 12th April 

Faversham is the heart of the Garden of England and home to the National Fruit Collection – the world’s largest collection of temperate fruits.  In April, the blossom displays at Brogdale are stunning and can be visited with an Orchard Pass from Brogdale Collections.  On the 12th April, the whole family can enjoy the orchards with a Teddy Bears’ Blossom Picnic.

 MAY 

Faversham Festival of Transport 

Saturday 18 and  Sun 19 May, 10am-4pm  

Faversham town centre 

The country’s most beautiful transport weekend, set in the historic centre of Faversham. This  popular weekend includes extensive displays of vintage cars, buses, commercial vehicles and motorcycles along with stalls selling crafts, local produce, gifts, food and drink. There will be  plenty of entertainment for the family including free vintage bus rides on Saturday plus live music and street entertainment.  Don’t miss the display of steam engines located outside Shepherd Neame on Sunday.

 Concert and Celebration of John Wilson

St Mary of Charity Church 

Marking the 350th anniversary of the death of John Wilson of Faversham.  He was an accomplished composer, lutist, associate of William Shakespeare and musician to the kings.

 Millennium Market – new for 2024 
Faversham Market Place 
Sunday 26 May, 10am-4pm  

Faversham Market has been trading for so long, it was mentioned in the Domesday Book and given its charter by Henry VIII.  

The Millennium Market celebrates 1000 years of Faversham Charter Market with historical stalls, local produce, entertainment and activities celebrating the county’s oldest market.

 Faversham in the 40s – new for 2024

Faversham Pirate Festival  - new for 2024

Town Quay and Front Brents 

Ahoy there mateys!  

Faversham was home to John Ward - the original Captain Jack Sparrow - so it’s the perfect place to celebrate all things pirate.  Enjoy a day full of pirate fun, nautical displays, children’s entertainment, sea shanty songs, local fish, food and more.

Faversham Safari 

Throughout Faversham 

4 August, 9am-6pm 

Visit table top and garage sales outside hundreds of properties throughout Faversham.  A lovely way to explore the town and pick up a bargain.  It coincides with Faversham Antiques Market taking place in Market Place and Court Street.

17-25 August  

Open Faversham showcases Faversham’s built, cultural and natural heritage with a varied  programme of exhibitions, talks, visits, demonstrations, skills workshops and social events.

Two days of woodland demonstrations including chainsaw carving, wood turning, spoon carving, campfire cooking, horse logging, pole lathe turning as well as vintage tractors and a fantastic display of stationary steam engines.

 Community Christmas Lights Switch on and Night Market

Market Place 

Officially kickstart Christmas with this lovely evening in Faversham town centre. Festive music, a visit from Santa and of course, the renowned lights switch on.  Followed by an evening of live bands and a food market serving delicious street food and warming drinks.
