Climb aboard a fabulous steam train for a wonderful evening dining experience at the Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells on 15 June 2024.
The new ‘Gin, Jazz & Steam’ event combines an evening sampling delicious gins with the delights of jazz music from a live band and an unforgettable steam train journey with a meal on board.
Arrive at Tunbridge Wells West station for 18:30 where the fantastic ‘Ruby Robinson Quintet’ will be performing in the Victorian engine shed. Everyone can also enjoy a welcome G&T in a Spa Valley Railway gin glass (which you can keep). The welcome gin is supplied by Kent’s Anno distillery and combines their famous Dry Gin with a Fever-Tree Tonic.
Board the steam train for a 19:00 departure and just sit back and relax as the train takes you on a journey through the High Weald Countryside while listening to jazz playing in the background as the train heads to Eridge station.
During the journey enjoy a freshly prepared Ploughmans and a second G&T, a wonderful Damson Gin with Fever-Tree tonic but this time from Kent based Copper Rivett Distillery.
Alight at Eridge to enjoy another live set from the ‘Ruby Robinson Quintet’ performing on the station platform before re-joining the train heading back to the Royal Spa town of Tunbridge Wells.
The evening doesn’t end here as the jazz continues to fill the air with the opportunity to purchase further beverages to enjoy alongside a dessert of Eton Mess as the train embarks on another return journey before arriving back at Tunbridge Wells West between 21:30 and 22:00.
Tickets for Gin, Jazz & Steam are £60 per person.
